Trendy Sorority Tees

If you’re a sorority girl, you know that recruitment is basically Christmas. In the weeks leading up to bid day you’re super busy and perpetually stressed out, but its all worth it when you get to hand your perfect new members their first shirt (but certainly not their last) with your letters on it.

Lucky for your new members, sorority shirts are going through a major upgrade! We’re seeing some adorable new trends pop up in the sorority apparel world, and we’ve put together a few of our favorites just in time for the 2017-2018 school year.

Flowy styles

Sororities and fraternities have stuck to classic unisex tees and v-necks for years, but there’s a new trend on the block in 2017. This year its all about flowy styles that flatter all body types and add a feminine flair.

Foil Prints

Foil prints are a super cute way to add a little shine to your shirt without going over the top. We make them by screen printing an adhesive to the shirts then heat pressing them with a colored foil. Gold and silver are our most popular foil colors, but we do offer plenty of other color options to fit your style.

Wreaths

Because nothing says Greek Goddess like a pretty wreath! This trend is cool because there are a ton of different wreaths to choose from, so you never have to worry about another chapter having the same look. Try a foil printed wreath to add a little wow factor!

Our 15 year story

This year Cornerstone Impressions is turning 15 years old, so our business is a moody teenager. Just kidding, as we turn 15, we are humbled and excited to be where we are today. We are proud of the hard work it took to get here and we are thankful for continued growth year after year. Its crazy to think what started out as a man with a dream and a box of awards has grown into a team of more than 20 people working across six departments, all with the same goal; to make our clients look good.

Some say as you progress in business and life you should always keep your eyes forward. They  say not to look back because you’re not going that way. Occasionally though, its important to turn around and reflect on where you started. After all, if you never look back, you can never truly appreciate how far you’ve come.

Our story began in 2002 when Bill Cartmill decided it was time to take a leap of faith…

Here’s hoping our next 15 years are half as wonderful as the first. 🙂

         

Live Screen Printing

Live screen printing events are one of our all time favorite ways to connect with people. A live screen printing event is just what it sounds like; an event where we show up with everything we need to make awesome shirts and print on the spot.

Live screen printing is cool because it allows us to make limited edition designs while you wait. No two shirts are the same, and people love the hands-on experience of selecting their exact shirt and then seeing it come to life.

Recently we set up at Chimy’s Cerveceria to print some custom designs for the Texas Tech Alumni Association of Fort Worth. Our team had a great time printing and socializing with the TTU fans who came out to enjoy the game and a beverage.

Prior to each live screen printing event, we work with you, the customer, to come up with a handful of special designs to be  used that day. On the day of the event, we bring the shirts, the screens, the inks, and the fun. All your guests have to do is walk up, choose their shirt and favorite design, and we print it right there while they watch.

The hands-on screen printing is fun to watch and your guests get to walk away with a shirt they wont find anywhere else. Awesome, right?

What types of events are good for live screen printing, you ask? We’ll print just about anywhere you have space for us, but we do have a few suggestions: outdoor concerts, tailgates, block parties, birthday parties, charity events, festivals, and other events of that nature are always great for live screen printing.

Sports; the serious and the hilarious

No matter your age, joining a local sports team is always a good idea. There’s just something FUN about getting together with your friends and trying to beat the heck out of some other people and their friends.

Whether you take the sport and competition very seriously or you’re in it for the beverages on the sidelines, you need something to get the team spirit going. Can you guess what we’re going to suggest here?

Custom jerseys are not only necessary for deciphering who’s who on the field, they can be a really funny way to show your team’s personality. Not sure what style you’re looking for? Trust us, we have options for every dedication level.

Class shirts for 2016-2017

When you’re in high school, class T-shirts represent a year in your life and your place in the school. After graduation, class shirts become keepsakes. When we see them years after high school has passed, we are reminded of the time we spent with our peers and the fun we had together.

As screen printers, we see plenty of class shirts. Some are funny, some are sassy, and some are serious. While it’s never easy to choose the perfect phrase to mark a moment in time, we’ve seen some pretty great ones! Today we’re sharing our top picks for the 2016-2017 school year.

Printed tees trending this summer

We may not be the style experts at fashion week, but we like to think we know the world of T-shirts pretty well. After 10 or 15 years in the industry, you get pretty good at spotting trends and knowing what to expect in the upcoming months.

For example, one thing we’re seeing this year is a big rise in the popularity of T-shirts. Tees are no longer just for lounge and casual wear. Wearing a T-shirt to work or out to dinner is very much in style, as long as it’s done correctly of course. Tees paired with slacks or pencil skirts make for a great business casual vibe.

This summer, printed tees are trending in a big way. First things first, if you haven’t yet noticed, the 90’s are back. Except this time with a 70’s twist. This means the loose fitting tops and casual style of the 90’s, but with the pops of color we all know and love from the 70’s. Think geometric patterns, think psychedelic colors and prints. These are all going to be super hot for summer 2016.

 

Another trend we expect to stay hot this summer; food. Something about this time of year makes people want to wear shirts featuring food. Expect to see printed fruits, desserts, and other edibles all summer long. This trend isn’t going anywhere.

 

As for graphic tees, it’s all about flowy, bold, free style fonts. Brush hand-lettering, cursive and loopy fonts are in style in a big way. This means sassy and inspirational quote tees are here to stay as well.

Small Business Spotlight, Pooches Pals

National Small Business Week celebrates entrepreneurs and small business owners across the country. At Cornerstone Impressions, we are a small business and many of our clients are as well. Working with various small businesses owners over the years has taught us to listen, because each and every one of them has a story worth hearing.

Behind every small business is a passionate entrepreneur. Someone who really cares about the products or services they provide. Entrepreneurs are resourceful, ambitious and creative people who take their dreams and turn them into reality. If you ask us, those are qualities worth celebrating.

In honor of National Small Business Week, we asked a few of our small business clients to share what it is that makes their business special. Today our interview is with Heather van Leeuwen, CEO of Pooches Pals.

Can you tell me a little bit about Pooches Pals and what you do?

Heather: Pooches Pals is a pet sitting and dog walking company in Fort Worth, TX. We are insured and bonded, screened, trained and certified to handle any and all pet needs. Caring for pets is our passion and number one priority. We offer unique and customized services to make sure every pet gets the attention and love they deserve while their owners are away.

What motivated you to start your business?

Heather: I wanted to create an affordable and stress free pet care service for our beloved fur-babies while their parents are away.

What is Pooches Pals best known for, and why?

Heather: Our passion is for the pooches. Dogs and cats are not just pets anymore. They are viewed as family and we treat them as if they are our own.

What sets Pooches Pals apart from other businesses in your field?

Heather: We are not just a business, we truly care about the well being of animals and we show that through our work. One unique thing we do is support our local animal shelter by donating $.10 for every mile walked with Pooches Pals.

What keeps your clients coming back?

Heather: Our service is very personal. We enter people’s homes and spend time with their pets. We treat pets just like their owners would if they were home. That includes maintaining their normal schedule and routine, understanding their needs and giving them the attention they need. Safety, trust, and being dependable are huge in our industry and that’s what keeps our clients coming back.

What makes you the most proud about being a small business owner?

Heather: I like being able to have a very personal relationship with each of my clients. My customers have become my friends and it’s a joy to work with them and their pets on a daily basis.

Who is your role model, and why?

Heather: My dad! He taught me how to be responsible and truly care about others. I still call him on a regular basis to ask for advice on business matters.

Shirt in the Spotlight: UTA BSM

One of the best things about working at a screen printing company is getting to know the people you print for. Printing for occasions like family reunions and spring break is always fun because you know your clients are going to have a good time in their new shirts.

Sometimes, our clients even send us pictures from their events, and it’s so much fun for us to see! Sharing the good times is our favorite thing of all. So this week we want to feature the UT Arlington Baptist Student Ministry and their spring break tanks!

This past spring break, the BSM took a trip to Houston, where they spent their week in the inner-city working with backyard bible clubs, construction teams, food pantries, and other organizations. We think it’s wonderful to see this group of young people spending their break helping others!
